So, what did we do this summer? See pix below for quick summary (sorry!) - it has been "crazy train" (as I call it) at our house. Aside from us working two full-time jobs, we have Booster Board activities and responsibilities, family time and I've been attending classes to get my certification in Project Management from George Washington University (while trying to keep up with work). I elected to take every other Friday off this summer to spend with the kids (while working 9 hours a day) and every Friday was spent at passing leagues (a 7-7 scrimmage with no defensive line and no pads) for Travis.
LEARNING TO RIDE:

It was a quiet 4th this year, spent the day at Tanoan pool and the evening at home - BBQ'd and then did fireworks - later that weekend we celebrated with Papa and Mimi.

July 30 was Paige's 6th birthday...and it was all about Hannah Montana. Every decoration, plate, napkin and cup, not to mention the invites...were Hannah Montana. It didn't stop there - most of her gifts involved Hannah Montana. I guess I can say is that it is better than her liking Brittany Spears! She also had birthday parties for a week, lucky girl! It started with a day-of-birthday-party at Sue Dotson's where they went to Itz with her summer school group, then a family dinner and presents. Her actual birthday party was on the weekend and we went up to Kids Flip Factory (the gymnastics gym) for a flipping, fun time - all her friends were there. The next day we had a family barbeque at our house for the grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins...and more Hannah Montana stuff!

"SEVEN YEAR ITCH":
Trey and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary (otherwise known as the 'year of the itch') on August 17th. To celebrate, we went to a wonderful dinner at Savoy and I bought Trey seven, Lucky 7 lottery scratcher cards (to satisfy that itch - ha ha)...he won another ticket plus $15...not bad! Our true celebration will be the end of October when we go to Puerto Rico...it cannot come soon enough!
20-Year Reunion:
Yes, it's true...I know I look like I just graduated from high school yesterday, but the truth is...I did not! I was hesitant to go the the 20 year reunion since the 10 year was such a bummer, but we decided to go anyway. It was at Sandia Casino so we attended the happy hour/dinner and reconnected with some friends (who, by the way, we are still connected with). We got bored, so we went and played Blackjack for about an hour and won back our money plus what it cost to pay for the reunion. I will say, after having to wear nametags with our senior picture on it, we all look a lot better now than we did back then!
