Track Kid

We have a deal with the boys....get good grades, stay clean, and be involved extracurricularly at school and you won't have to get a job during the school year; we will support you.

When I asked Andrew what he was going to be doing for a spring sport (playing Wii didn't count), surprisingly his answer was not baseball...which he has played since he was 6. At first he said he wasn't going to play a sport, to which I reminded him of our "deal" and he said he was "tired".... are you kidding me?! I told him he'd better find something or he would be finding a job. He came home a few weeks ago and announced he had joined the track team.

Junior Varsity had their second meet last week and his team did GREAT! He ran 3 events and in the 4x4 medley relay (where they each run once around the track and pass the baton at the end of their lap), his team ran it in 4:02, which is a terrific time! Overall, at the first two meets, Sandia has come in 2nd place. I will say, that kid has some WHEELS!!!

Waiting...

On your mark, get set...

Go!

His pass-off (he's behind that group of kids, unfortunately)

Congrats on your athletically inclined children. My boys try out for sports, they want to play, but never make it. I breed athletically mediocre children.
